Local Attractions
Makweti Safari Lodge stands on 33,000 hectares of highveld woodland savannah. Declared a natural heritage site, and forming part of the Waterberg Biosphere, the reserve is home to 16 species of antelope, rhino, elephant, lion, cheetah, wild dog and the rare brown hyena. RATES INCLUDE:

• return scheduled transfers from Welgevonden Game Reserve Main Gate or the Welgevonden Airstrip to Makweti Safari Lodge
Rates are subject to change without prior notice. Gratuities are not included in the rates quoted.
RATES EXCLUDE: Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), cigars, items of a personal nature.
BOOKING PROCEDURE: A standard reservations form is required in order to proceed with a reservation. Once the reservation is confirmed, the client will become liable for cancellation fees. A 25% non-refundable deposit is due immediately, or full prepayment if the reservation is made less than 4 weeks prior to arrival. Full and final payment is due at least 4 weeks prior to arrival.
INCASE OF A CANCELLATION: Cancellation of any booking must be received in writing. Cancellation penalties will be levied for cancelled reservations as follows:
If 4 weeks/more notice given:
25% deposit total cost,
less than 4 weeks notice: 50% of the total cost,
less than 2 weeks notice: 100% of the total cost.
Rates are valid at the time of booking, but until such time as full and final payment has been received the price is subject to change without notice. In the unlikely event of there being an unscheduled extension of a booking caused by bad weather, strikes or any other matter beyond our control, it is understood that expenses incurred will be for the passengers account.
INSURANCE: It is strongly recommended that all passengers take out comprehensive travel insurance including full medical cover, as well as cancellation and curtailment cover.
TRANSFERS TO MAKWETI: Transfers by road and air are available to Makweti. Please refer to our Johannesburg office for rates of schedule flights, charter flights or road transfers.
