From Cindy Crawford and Catherine Zeta Jones to Kate Winslett and Tiger Woods, they've all tied the knot overseas and spent a good few dollars hiring out exclusive resorts for the occasion. While this may be beyond the reach of most couples, you dont need to be a celebrity or even mega rich to charter somewhere special for a celebration with family and friends. There are plenty of places to choose from without breaking the bank. Here are some fabulous ideas.

BLUE TRAIN

For a train journey with a difference, jump aboard one of South Africas beat-known tourist icons.Couples can celebrate in a number of ways, including holding the wedding reception on the train, travelling to a venue along the route or spending the honeymoon onboard as a pampered guest.
The Blue Train provides and ideal setting for a reception or a honeymoon. Couples can choose between any of its routes, all of which have fantastic options for stopovers. Couples can board the train in Cape Town on the northbound departure and stop in the historic town of Matjiesfontein to marry in the little chapel. They can even ride a traditional London bus coplete with conductor in pith helmet, before reboarding the train for overnight celebrations enroute too Pretoria. The train can be chartered to go and stop anywhere, within reason. It can accommodate up to 82 passengers overnight or 100 for a short trip or party. The dining car seats a maximum of 42 guests at a time.

SAMPLE PACKAGE
A four to six hour dinner trip from Capoe Town costs about £4220 based on 42 guests and £6468 for 82 guests. A two night trip from Pretoria, including one day at a game reserve, costs from £28,300 for 42 guests and £33,000 for 82 guests.

ILE DES DEUX COCOS
MAURITIUS

ELEPHANT PEPPER CAMP
KENYA

For something wild and exciting, we recommend this African bush camp where the game is literally on your doorstep. The camps eight large canvas tents offer panoramic views of the Masai Mara. They have en-suite dressing rooms, safari showers that are filled with hot water on request, and flush toilets. The camp has recently been upgraded, and includes a dedicated honeymoon tent with seperate dressing and living room, offering 80 square meters of living space.

For barefoot luxury luxury, couples should head for Kamalame Cay, a private island resort in the Bahamas. People can marry on the beach, in the Great House, or on the resort's pier.

Kamalme Cay can cater for up to 40 people, and its private villa can take an extra eight guests. The Cay is just off the island of Androis and groups are advised to arrange private air charters by plane or helicopter.

The resort prides itself on being able to meet the needs of wedding couples - even if you need a belly dancer! The resort offers options such as boat trip with picnic to a deserted cay and a 'bath butler' who decorates baths with flowers and candles.
